Tori and Ben have been together for 12 years and married in 2010. The Stanleys have been farming since 1807 and Ben's passion is certainly in the blood. The farm now comprises Park Farm at Melbourne and Woodhouse Farm at Diseworth; the livestock roam majestically across the old grass meadows of the Melbourne Estate and Langley Priory Estate, both steeped in history.
Tori and Ben farm their herd of Longhorn cattle and flocks of Jacob, Portland and Texel sheep. Longhorns are renowned for their docile, care-free attitude, making them a pleasure to handle and look after. The sheep flocks are made up of Tori’s Jacobs, with whom she has not been shy of a championship or two in the show ring, a Flock of Portlands, located outside Melbourne Hall and cared for on behalf of Lady Ralph Kerr.
We are on the move!
Due to unprecedented demand, we are moving our butchery to a new beautiful location. We will be able to house our Longhorn cattle, Jacob sheep and even some feathered friends on the 10 acre site.
Vince, Kate, Lucie, Tori and Ben will all be there as well as the cattle, sheep and hens all in our farm fields. Sven-Hanson Britt, Masterchef finalist will be cooking up a storm over wood and charcoal on his handmade out side kitchen, using our dry aged Longhorn beef and other exciting culinary treats. We have created a very natural farm experience trail for you to visit with so much space.
The shop will be open 6 days a week serving our fabulous Dry aged beef, home reared grass fed lamb, Free Range Packington Pork and Chicken along with everything you may need to accompany such culinary delights including hand selected wined by the ‘Independents’ Adrian Smith. In an exciting development for us, we have got together with MasterChef the Professionals finalist Sven-Hanson Britt to develop our current offering and create an exciting food experience at the new butchery. We have always delivered a real farm to fork experience for our customers, insuring the highest quality and care at every stage of the journey. Our new partnership with Sven-Hanson Britt will allow us to take this to the next level, all the way to the plate. The aim is to produce the finest food on your door step with all the worry of’ how to cook it’ taken away.. the ultimate meal ready!
